Day 2

beach

i rode my bike to constitution beach today, in an attempt to cool off...temperatures are nearing 100 degrees this week plus humidity. ick. this beach is really interesting because it borders the airport, and just feet away are lines of planes waiting to take off. it would be a great place to visit with a kid who is interested in watching transportation in action: planes, subway (the blue line runs right behind where this picture was taken), boats, and cars, all in one place!

i'm missing california a lot today...i didn't think it was possible to miss an entire state, but i do. steve and i haven't been able to visit this year, and that's been hard on us...definitely wanting to see and hang out with our families, especially with a new addition coming soon!

on another note: today is steve's last day at sbux! and i got to video chat with my sister this morning, who is currently in dublin. sweet!
