trails

we ventured out to topsfield again to go trail running. steve and i split up this time...given our previous navigational issues at this park, one would think that it might have been a good idea to bring the map, but we didn't! we fortunately both made it back to the car (our designated meeting spot) at the right time...but it definitely reminded me of a time in 2003 when i was in the german countryside, and my friend courtney and i were leading a group of high school students to a community pool that was 4 miles away, relying on a poorly drawn map in german (i spoke and understood more than i do now, but that's still not saying much). somehow, we made it there and back, and it was not because of our skills, that's for sure. i still marvel at that sometimes!
