baseball

tonight, the san francisco giants won the NLDS, which meant lots of celebrating in our home. a few years ago, i wouldn't really have been interested in this...i've always liked the giants, and grew up rooting for them, but had never really gotten into baseball (or other professional sports) in general. that has definitely changed, though, partly from living in boston, where it's considered a major character flaw to not like baseball, and more significantly, from my relationship with steve. it's been so fun to learn more about and engage in this part of him, and he's been great about answering my many questions over the years about the intricacies of the sport :) all that said, i can truthfully say that i have become an invested baseball fan. and that's pretty fun right about now!
